SEMBILAN penerbit filem tempatan hanya mampu menggigit jari apabila karya ditayangkan tidak laku.

Semakan HIP mendapati, filem bahasa Melayu dan Tamil itu sekadar mengaut jualan tiket serendah RM4,059 hingga kadar tertinggi sebanyak RM18,864, biarpun penerbit berbelanja besar menghasilkannya.

Filem yang merekodkan jualan tiket 'menyedihkan' itu adalah daripada 33 judul yang dipertontonkan sejak Januari hingga Ogos lalu, berdasarkan data yang diperoleh daripada Perbadanan Kemajuan Filem Nasional (FINAS). Semua filem terbabit dihasilkan di bawah Skim Wajib Tayang (SWT) dengan kutipan di bawah RM20,000.

Sembilan filem yang mencatat kutipan teruk itu adalah Mendidih Bro, Spy In Love, Kamar Seksa, Kerja Kahwin, Hijabsta Ballet dan Pencuri Hati Mr Cinderella.

Selain itu, filem Tamil Puthiya Payanam, RIP? dan Vettai Karuppar Ayya hanya mengaut kutipan antara RM4,000 hingga RM18,000.

Kutipan jualan tiket bagi semua filem terbabit adalah RM106,782.

Melihat kepada sambutan hambar peminat, sembilan filem terbabit dianggap gagal di pasaran berbanding karya lain yang ditayangkan dalam tempoh sama. Namun, sudah tentu, beberapa faktor perlu diperhalusi sebelum membuat rumusan mengenai kegagalan sesebuah filem.

Andai faktor ekonomi dan kesediaan penonton berbelanja membeli tiket untuk mendapatkan 'hiburan dua jam' menjadi punca, alasan itu mungkin kurang tepat. Ini kerana ada beberapa filem seperti J Revolusi mencatat kutipan lebih RM7 juta ketika ditayangkan, Mac lalu.

Malah, terkini, filem terbitan Skop Production, Abang Long Fadil 2, meraih kutipan tiket memberangsangkan dengan pungutan lebih RM17 juta.

Perangkaan itu jelas membuktikan sebenarnya, pasaran dan penonton filem Melayu masih wujud, malah sentiasa menagih karya yang menepati cita rasa mereka.

Biarpun FINAS menyediakan dana dan geran bagi membantu pembikin filem, namun bantuan kewangan itu tidak mempunyai makna jika produk yang ditayangkan, akhirnya 'sejuk' di pawagam.

HIP menemui pengarah dan penerbit filem tidak laku ini untuk mendapatkan penjelasan berhubung kegagalan karya mereka di pawagam.

Masalah bajet, pelakon enggan beri kerjasama

Penerbit filem Spy In Love, Richard Ung, mengaku kekangan bajet untuk program promosi bersepadu menjadi antara faktor utama filem lakonan Nasha Aziz dan Siti Saleha itu kurang diketahui ramai.

"Sebagai syarikat 'independant', bajet adalah masalah utama. Apatah lagi untuk mengeluarkan sejumlah besar wang bagi melakukan promosi menyeluruh baik di televisyen (TV), radio mahupun papan iklan gergasi.

"Saya melakukan promosi setakat yang termampu. Kami bernasib baik apabila mendapat kerjasama daripada media cetak dan melakukan promosi sendiri di laman sosial," katanya.

Tambah Ung, masalah kerjasama pelakon dalam rangka promosi turut mengecewakan bagi syarikat yang kurang popular sepertinya, iaitu Sheunik Sdn Bhd.

"Kami berhadapan masalah mendapatkan kerjasama pelakon. Mereka memberi pelbagai alasan apabila diminta hadir menjayakan rangka promosi.

"Maklumlah kami bukanlah syarikat yang popular, apatah lagi mereka sudah mendapat bayaran penuh. Pelakon menganggap mereka tidak lagi terikat dengan produksi biarpun filem belum ditayangkan.

"Pelakon juga enggan membantu mempromosikan filem lakonan mereka di laman sosial peribadi. Susah bagi kita mendapatkan kerjasama walaupun diminta berbuat demikian," katanya.

Kerja Kahwin masih untung

Pengarah filem Kerja Kahwin, Anwardi Jamil, menafikan filem terbitan syarikat baharu, Wayang Padu Sdn Bhd, mengalami kerugian biarpun sekadar mengaut RM15,293.76.

"Sebelum filem ini dibuat pada 2015, saya ada pelan strategi sendiri di mana karya ini diterbitkan untuk penonton di luar, bukannya dalam pawagam. Ini adalah strategi baharu bagi filem berbajet rendah.

"Saya boleh katakan filem ini tidak rugi. Ini kerana apabila ia siap, saya berjaya mendapatkan persetujuan FELDA untuk menayangkannya di tanah rancangan di seluruh negara selama setahun pada 2016.

"Sepanjang tempoh itu, kami berjaya memperoleh keuntungan daripada bajet pembikinan keseluruhan sebanyak RM380,000," katanya.

Anwardi berkata, apabila Kerja Kahwin dibawa ke pawagam, dia tidak terbabit dengan pelan pemasaran kerana dikendalikan sepenuhnya syarikat penerbitan.

"Bagi saya, biarpun hanya mengutip kira-kira RM15,000 di pawagam tidak termasuk tayangan di Astro First, ia adalah bonus untuk filem ini," katanya.
